Change Management

#Backtothefuture: digitalization & management Successful Change Management Starts with People.

How does the digital transformation process impact people management? The digital transformation project #backtothefuture starts from including people within the company.

Objectives of the project

Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all

We believe that quality education is the basis for improving people’s well-being and achieving appropriate and concrete learning outcomes. We want to help ensure equity in education through social and educational integration projects, eliminating inequality and ensuring access to all levels of education and training.

Make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable

We want to bolster efforts to protect and safeguard the cultural, artistic and social heritage of the communities in which we operate, conscious that the challenges can be met by improving inclusion and reducing poverty and social inequality. We envisage a future with welcoming, open and inclusive communities that offer opportunities for all.

Change management is a really new innovative framework not limited to the introduction of new technologies but that extends to a way of re-thinking and re-organizing the entire workplace as a whole. In this perspective, digital transformation is a full makeover project where significant transformations happen not only with the implementation of new digital skills, but also in the ways we operate, which will change the company culture and mentality at all levels.

When should we seize the opportunity for change?
"People within the company, while being aware of some difficulties, have seen several opportunities in the company’s change management. This change management project represents for us a tremendous turning point: in addition to implementing new digital skills, the transformation process has also had an impact on the so-called transversal skills. What the Group has experienced in the last year and a half is something unique that not everyone has had the opportunity to experience in an entire working career. This transition is yet and already an important moment for the future transformations in the way we operate our business, we perceive our culture, and modify our mentalities."  - Doriana Sena - HR Director Parmacotto Group.

Managing the transition between old skills and new working models

10.000 hours of training, dozens of meetings on specific and transversal skills, a team of 8 ambassadors composed of the youngest employees by age who have become spokespersons for new and different needs and who became points of reference for the project. These are the numbers of #backtothefuture change management project, that envisioned training as a starting point to drive change itself.  “Working together in making changes was what worked well in making our employees embrace them and make them realize how empowered they would feel was the first step. Making people understand the company’s change management advantages, such as the fact that it would enhance the quality of their work, was essential. Our motto conveyed the message that change is beautiful, useful, and necessary. Counting on our young resources as a point reference was a good message as well. People have embraced the opportunity for change with enthusiasm."  - Doriana Sena - HR Director Parmacotto Group.

What improvements does digital transformation bring?
By automating repetitive tasks, people can devote their time to different chores that are more relevant. From tools to process, from ideas to strategies, digital transformation covers every aspect of the business and improves productivity.
One of the main advantages of the new #backtothefuture system in terms of change management involves the collaboration between functions: in addition to a better data exchange there is also a better communication between departments, both in qualitative and quantitative terms.
Thus, the integration of digital tools increases efficiency and improves our business process, by simplifying it and making it more efficient.

How digital transformation fits into the Group's sustainability path.

The digital transformation project is fully part of #FeelinGood, the sustainability path of Parmacotto Group that has an impact on all aspects of well-being: well-being at the table, well-being of communities and well-being of the environment. Information and data assessed with the new ERP will provide the Group's first sustainability report, in full compliance with the contribution that digitalization offers towards the achievement of Goal 3 of the 2030 Agenda, aimed to promote health and well-being for all, inside and outside the company.
Only through digitalization and change we can truly achieve a sustainable dimension.
